Q1: What is WCARTE?
A1: The World Council for ARgentine Tango Events was founded in order to further
the Argentine Tango as an art form.
Q2: What is The Internation Argentine Tango Dance Competition?
A2: The competition was founded to help individual assess their abilities in
dancing the Argentine TTango. Each couple or group is rated on their abilities
against an absolute scale. Simply put, each non-professional couple or group is
dancing only against themselves, not against each other. Professional couples will
be rated against each other.
Q3: Who may attend this event?
A3: All are invited to the event, whether you dance or not. The event is for dancers,
non-dancers, the curious, and those enthralled with the Argentine Tango.
Q4: Who may compete in this event?
A4: Anyone who has a partner or group may compete at the event. Couples and groups,
professional and non-professional of all levels are welcome.
Q5: What are the costs to compete?
A5: The cost for each person who enters the event consists of a registration fee
to become an Associate member of WCARTE, plus a separate fee per dance as follows:

that can be filled out online and then printed.
Q7: What level should I sign up for in the competition?
A7: If you have never competed at the event, you can start at the beginning level,
regardless of your current ability level. You are only showing the judges how well you
can perform in the various steps outlined in the rules booklet. If you have competed
before at one level and believe that you can proceed to the next level, then sign up for
that next level. Just remember that the competition is designed to help you advance in
your dancing ability.
